The Kinh 5 Foundation was founded on the belief that community enrichment and development are achieved through solidarity and shared purpose. Our mission is to reunite the people of Kinh 5 village in Vietnam, many of whom migrated around the world following the fall of Saigon in 1975.
Our Roots
What began as a small group of individuals seeking to reconnect with their hometown roots has grown into a global community. After the war, many Kinh 5 villagers rebuilt their lives in new countries, achieving prosperity, freedom, and opportunity. Yet no matter how far they went or how successful they became, they never forgot those who were left behind.
Our Purpose
Formally established on February 25, 2011 (though informally connected for 15 years prior), the Kinh 5 Foundation was created to bridge the gap between Kinh 5 refugees and the villagers who remained. In witnessing the ongoing struggles of those back home—poverty, hunger, illness, and lack of access to education and healthcare—the Kinh 5 community felt a deep calling to act.
Driven by a shared vision of "sharing and supporting each other," we are committed to giving every Kinh 5 villager the opportunity to lead a healthy, successful, and dignified life.
Our Global Reach
Today, the Kinh 5 Foundation has established divisions across the globe, including:
Southern California
Northern California
Portland, Oregon
Seattle, Washington

We continue to grow and expand, with the belief that when we are united, we can lift one another—building a stronger, healthier, and more connected community for generations to come.
